Ports: World-Class State Of The Art Facilities.
The ports of entry in Arizona serve as the principal gateway for international trade, commerce, and tourism with Mexico. For Arizona’s border communities, ports serve as a tool for economic development and growth.
The ports in Nogales serve as a hub for implementing innovative solutions that facilitate cross-border commerce, including Unified Cargo Processing, refrigerated docks for produce, and a $134 million investment for the modernization of SR189. Along with these projects, the DeConcini port of entry needs modernization. Long lines and aging infrastructure have worsened wait times, and the work environment is unsuitable for officers. The Nogales community is advocating for the DeConcini POE to be elevated in Custom and Border Protection’s priority list of port of entry projects.

Nogales Ports of Entry – Premier Gateways to Arizona, the United States, and Canada.
Santa Cruz County includes four Ports of Entry: Mariposa, DeConcini (formerly Grande Avenue), Morley Avenue, and the Nogales International Airport. An additional gateway specifically designated for the cattle industry is located near the Mariposa Port.
Mariposa Commercial Port of Entry
The Mariposa Land Port of Entry’s state-of-the-art facilities have been designed to increase the speed and efficiency of commercial processing. One of the nations busiest ports of entry, Nogales is the optimal location for just-in-time delivery for Mexico’s West Coast supply chain. Cross- border trade in Nogales is a multi-billion-dollar industry with commodities fresh produce, manufactured goods, automobiles, raw materials and more.
DeConcini & Morley Ports of Entry
The Dennis DeConcini port of entry is the principle gateway for tourism and daily crossers. Pedestrians can cross using Morley gate just east of DeConcini.
Rail Crossing
The only rail crossing in Arizona is located in Nogales. Union Pacific Railroad operates the track from Nogales north to the East-West Sunset Route in Tucson and from Nogales south to Ferromex Rail running to Hermosillo, Guaymas, and Guadalajara in Mexico.
